Alvaro
Parentes impressive drive to win two at Knockhill
Alvaro
Parente won the second race of the British F3 International
Series at Knockhill on Sunday. The Carlin Motorsport driver
had an easy drive until two laps before the chequered flag,
when he ran over something in the first corner and nearly lost
control of his Dallara F305 Mugen-Honda. However, the experienced
Portuguese driver held on to secure another win for his team,
making him the new leader of the Championship Class. Marko Asmer
from Hitech Racing finished in second position, followed by
another Carlin Motorsport driver, Charlie Kimball.
In
the National Class, Charlie Hollings also won his second race
of the day. After a great battle with Barton Mawer (T-Sport),
which saw Hollings using every inch of the circuit to fight
off the T-Sport driver, he kept it nice and tidy to take the
win. Jonathan Kennard (Alan Docking Racing) finished the race
in third position.
