Monza
Test Round-Up
Date:
16~17.03.2005
Track: Monza (Italia)
Drivers: Tom Dillmann, Kamui Kobayashi, Patrick Rocah
Thursday
the 17th of March the drivers that will be taking part in
the next Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup Championship went on
track for the second day of the first official test organized
by RST . There were thirty-three vehicles on the circuit of
Monza , in Brianza, for the first seasonal appointment after
the long winter break. It was also a good occasion to get
a deeper knowledge of our new drivers: young Frenchman Tom
Dillmann and Brazilian Patrick Rocha. Kamui Kobayashi, confirmed
by Toyota in the team from Vicenza, continued increasing his
confidence with the Tatuus FR 2.0 and immediately started
the work programmed together with our technical staff.
"Certainly, this first test must be considered positive.
Kamui and Patrick marked interesting times on both days, generating
a favorable feedback for the Team. Regarding Tom, we can say
that although he is still very young he showed his talent
and capacity and managed to emerge in a context of drivers
with greater experience" declared Angelo Rosin soon after
the end of the test.
Tom Dillmann: "I am really pleased with the work carried
out during the test together with the Team. My chronometric
performance was good. I still have to improve my knowledge
of the new car."
Kamui Kobayashi: "It was not bad, considering it was
the first test. It was important for me to regain confidence
with the vehicle after the winter break. I made some slight
mistakes which conditioned my overall performance. Anyway,
I am satisfied and we have to continue working hard in view
of the forthcoming season."
Patrick Rocha : "I have not been on the track since December.
I was soon positively impressed by the professionalism demonstrated
by the Team. We carried out a good work. On the whole, I am
pleased, but we still have to improve."
