Vallelunga
Test Round-Up
Date:
08~09.03.2005
Track: Vallelunga (Italia)
Drivers: Matteo Chinosi, Davide Rigon
Yesterday
the two-day-test organized in Vallelunga came to an end. The
teams and drivers that will be taking part in the next Formula
Renault 2.0 Italia Championship were present and Prema went
on track with his official driver, Italian Matteo Chinosi
and with Davide Rigon, from Vicenza, because our Japanese
driver Kamui Kobayashi cannot take part in the tests, as established
in the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup Championship Regulations.
"It was a really positive and important test in view
of the forthcoming season. After the long winter break these
two days allowed our drivers to return on track" said
Team Manager Grazia Troncon. "Matteo had a good performance
on both days, even if some mistakes due to his lack of experience
prevented him from showing his real potentialities. It was
different for Davide. We asked him to carry out a shake down
of the car that will be driven by Kobayashi. From the very
beginning he adapted to the working methods of our team and
obtained considerable results. It was our first tests after
repeated delays due to bad weather conditions."
Drivers' opinions were very similar.
Matteo Chinosi: "I am quite satisfied with the work carried
out, even if today my two distractions did not allow me to
complete the working plan. Yesterday, during the first official
test organized by Renault Sport Italia, the performance was
positive. I was not able to get advantage of new tyres, I
must work and learn with the team in order to get the best."
Davide Rigon: "I am very pleased because Prema allowed
me to test with them. We worked well and I was constantly
among the fastest drivers with used tyres. I still have some
problems to take advantage of new tyres, anyway, I feel satisfied
with this two-day-test."
