Formula
Renault 2.0 Eurocup - R1 Zolder - preview
Fifteen
days after the opening event in Vallelunga of the Formula
Renault 2.0 Italia, the continental competition organized
by RST will start next Sunday on the circuit of Zolder in
Belgium. There will be thirty- eight drivers participating
in the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup Championship, representing
19 different countries and 20 teams. This fact highlights
the international importance of the Championship.
Prema will be present with three drivers: Tom Dillmann, Kamui
Kobayashi and Patrick Rocha. Up to now, in the four pre-championship
tests carried out, our drivers were always among the protagonists.
Kamui and Patrick were constantly among the best contestants
and Tom increased his confidence with the vehicle and reached
top positions.
Angelo Rosin, Team Principal of the Venetian team said: "We
are ready to face this new challenge. The Formula Renault
2.0 Eurocup Championship has been included this year within
the Renault Days. Its image has been greatly promoted from
the mass media and organization viewpoints. We are certain
of the overall potentialities of our young drivers and I am
sure that if we continue working together we will be able
to get great satisfaction."
Also our drivers are ready to face the new challenge.
Tom Dillmann: "I am eagerly waiting for the start of
a competitive championship such as the Formula Renault 2.0
Eurocup together with Prema. During the tests we had good
results. There is still a lot of work to do and there are
numerous possibilities to improve."
Kamui Kobayashi: "After the beginning of the Italian
Championship, the Eurocup will set off in Zolder, where it
will count to be always among the protagonists. We have to
confirm the good results achieved in all the pre-championship
tests and in the race of Vallelunga. I am longing for the
beginning of this new and important appointment."
Patrick Rocha: "I am really satisfied with the work carried
out with the team in all the winter tests. Now, we are going
to Zolder, where we have to take advantage of what we already
demonstrated in the winter period."
