Valencia
Test Round-Up
Date:
30-31.03.2005
Circuit: Valencia (Spain)
Drivers: Tom Dillmann, Kamui Kobayashi, Patrick Rocha
Third
official test for the drivers that will participate in the
Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup Championship. After the sessions
of Monza and Le Mans, this time the thirty-three drivers went
on track in Valencia, where the second seasonal appointment
will take place. For Japanese Kamui Kobayashi and Frenchman
Tom Dillmann it was their first experience on the Spanish
circuit.
"It was a very important test, considering the weather
conditions we had in Spain. High temperatures during the day
allowed us to work on the set up in view of the summer events,
when the weather will be similar. Good performances for our
drivers, who were always among the fastest in every condition"
said Grazia Troncon, Team Manager of the Venetian team.
Our three drivers were also satisfied with the results
Tom Dillmann: "I am not completely pleased with the chronometric
results. I could have done better. Anyway, on these two days
we worked well, looking for an optimal set up under conditions
that we will surely find in summer."
Kamui Kobayashi: "It was my first experience on the Ricardo
Tormo circuit, here in Valencia. It is a very technical track
and we worked very hard to develop the vehicle."
Patrick Rocha: "I am pleased with the work carried out
on this track under different conditions and temperatures.
With used tyres the car was very competitive, then with new
tyres I made a mistake that affected my performance."
The following appointment will be next week on the German
circuit of Oschersleben for the fourth official session.
