Saturday Qualifying Report

BATANGAS, PHILIPPINES- An excellent run from many of the drivers, Qualifying was a "nail-biter."
Enzo Pastor leap frogged from dismal lap times and improved almost 3 seconds from his best practice times! In qualifying, Pastor set the pace early in the session and posted the first 1:25 lap time of the weekend! In the 5th lap, Enzo posted a 1:25.9! He then pitted and waited for someone to best this time.

Early favorite, Pepon Marave from Shell Casino Filipino FILA Team Tom's, was sidelined by a broken 3rd gear! This places him at the back of the grid for Sunday. Unfortunate, as he was one of the pacesetters in practice.

Castrol Ambi Pur Car Team Goddard's Jojo Silverio didn't give up and kept on lapping until he took pole position away from the young Pastor. In the 13th lap of the qualifying session, Silverio posted a 1:25.8, to claim the first spot on the grid.

Mark Goddard, began to lap with a better pace, came in 3rd on the grid with a best lap of 1:26.0.

The top 3 drivers were separated by a mere .2 of a second! This should make for a very close race on Sunday!
